Every relationship consists of two individuals, each of which has unique emotional patterns that together create a interconnected emotional relationship. During couples therapy, Dr. Koplow will explore each individual’s psychology and how they engage in the relationship. In essence, couples therapy is both the identification of unique issues that one may find in individual therapy and the examination of the unique characteristics of the relationship. Most healthy and successful relationships are those with a close friendship, sense of trust, and a healthy level of intimacy. During the course of couples therapy, Dr. Koplow will explore these components and begin the process of helping couples develop healthier, more rewarding relationships.
